Heart on Ice My heart was delivered to youHeart on Ice by ~mawaruDOLL
packed in ice, behind a lock.
I watched as it left me,
a slow process of flowing blood
where each vein ripped and frayed,
the source beating in panic.
My new useless body lay flat
on the ground in red puddles.
The cavity filled with excess
and the skin closed over.
I saw it set on ice,
it's colour spreading out
weaving patterns through the cubes.
I saw the lid closed,
the lock applied and secured.
I saw it taken away.
My remaining thoughts were restless.
My remaining body was still.
Have you opened the lock
to look at the remains inside?
You may be stung by the cold
and the shock preserve
